My 3 Spring 2019 Wardrobe Basics

Hi Everyone,

Each season has those items you simply can’t live without. Last year my wardrobe staple was the floral dress. Whilst they are still hot in the high street shops, Spring 2019 has in general toned down somewhat. Emphasis this Spring is on plain fabrics with tartan/check, animal print and spots being the main patterns.

Spring being as unpredictable as it is, the outfit needs to be cool enough for hot sun yet warm enough as soon as temperatures drop. I always like to put together an outfit that is relatively simple with a bit of an edge.

Keep reading to find out exactly what my 3 Spring 2019 wardrobe basics are as well as  3 similar Spring outfits put together for you to buy now.

My 3 Spring 2019 Wardrobe Basics

Getting to the point my 3 Spring 2019 wardrobe basics are:

  • the long, full maxi skirt

Maxi skirts are great in Spring as they provide extra warmth, hide pasty white legs yet are easy enough to lift and bare legs when sitting catching a few sun rays.

  • a statement top

The good thing about a statement top instead of t-shirt is that it can be worn anywhere. Casual or dressy, you are always dressed right. Love the fact that the one above is longer at the back than front, has ties on the sleeves and can be worn either as a open round neck or off the shoulder.

  • ankle booties

These particular booties are now 5 years old. Sometimes I don’t wear them for months. Then suddenly it will seem like they are on my feet almost every day. A pair of camel coloured ankle boots are certainly worth investing in.

Let’s talk bags – especially when this one has such a cute story behind it…

Atelier Avanzar – a bag label created by Margarita, a lovely woman from Ecuador now living in Switzerland. All of her bags are hand made in Ecuador by local women. There is also a special Avanzar foundation that has been set up and profits from the bags go to this foundation which supports sick children and women in need in Ecuador.

Every bag is unique and made on demand according to individual customer colour and fabric selection. Available online

Spring is always a good reason to skip – smile!
