Hi Everyone,
Wednesday 8th March, International Woman’s Day – what does the day mean to you? Here in Zurich it was truly an amazing day with several parties taking place all over the city and wonderful groups of people getting together to celebrate a great cause. Being a woman I would say that right – haha!
One shop in Zurich that has really captured my heart due to the efforts they go to in supporting women has got to be Modissa. There’s always something happening to support us and they are always open to new ideas. Continuously changing the store – not only their fashion but also the entire shop concept.
Read on for a gallery summary of the International Woman’s day party and find out about the latest Spring changes – including a tea room with the best view of Zurich Bahnhofstr.
International Woman’s Day Celebration & Spring Changes
For those of you either living near Zurich or visiting the city from abroad, Modissa’s latest design changes are almost a “must see” with literally something for everyone.
Ground floor newbies:
The ground floor already entices with super interesting natural & organic beauty products from the Green Beauty Bar.
There is also wonderful art work to be seen from Christoph Niemann, a German born New Yorker artist. Meet him personally for exclusive book vernisage and signing on 23 May 2017 in Modissa Zurich Bahnhofstr 18:00 – 20:00
The Latest Tea Time Must:
On the first floor of Modissa you will now find the cutest little tea room out. With wonderful teas that have been created by one of Modissa’s own employees Mirjam Nerziri from the online tea shop L’Artea. You can buy the tea to take home or enjoy a free cup of tea whilst watching the rest of Bahnhofstr go by – I tried the tea myself and am hooked.
You can even have a cup of tea to go…
Beauty with a view:
As of April the whole of the 5th Floor will turn into a Schmink Bar areal. Also the best view in Zurch whilst getting your nails done – what more could a girl ask for – wink!
These are just a few new highlights but changes are continual as Jean-Pierre Kuhn, CEO is a strong believer in change for innovation. Stating that to remain the same would be like going backwards. Modissa’s huge aim is to give the modern woman the courage to be who she is and grab the opportunities that come her way! Fabulous, I’m with them there!
The Party
Now for the picture gallery of the great party which wouldn’t have been what it was without:
Kathrin Puhan Henz and Barbara Syz (founder of the ballerina company Pink Inside), doing a fabulous shoe design seminar. Sybille Baumann and her story telling. Quick Manicures from the Schmink Bar. White magic fortune telling by Alexandra Kruse who is both a stylist and fashion oracle
So yes, this is a sponsored post but Modissa always gives me freedom to write as I choose and I am genuinely a fan of the shop and what they stand for. I am always amazed at the innovative changes taking place, the new labels that pop up in the store and the fact they go to such great measures to think about their customer base and fulfil their needs beyond simply selling clothing.
