Hi everyone,
The Russian designer Valentin Yudashkin works closely together with his daughter who recently also becameย his artistic director. They can be thought of as being the Prada of the North. Havingย just enlisted Baciocchi Associati, the same architects asย Prada and Miu Miu, for their own boutiquesย in Russia. Makes me want to go and visit the stores in person!
The first time I was introduced to Valentin Yudashkin was September last year – see his Spring collection write up here. ย Whilst the Spring collectionย was predominately light, Fall focusesย fully on a mixture of black with touches of rich gold.

Valentin Yudashkin Strikes Again ย – Paris Fashion Week Fall 2017
Feminine floaty looks prevail with aย touch of the 80’s and asymmetric patterns all in one.ย There is a ย trouser suit which could also double up as evening wear – a look that’s currently increasing in popularity. Note the polo neck jumper is here to stay, as are the off the shoulder looks. Beautiful evening dresses with touches of sheer fabric…
Pinstripes are coming back on the hot list for next Fall!
Just one more sign of off the shoulder look being here to stay!
So whilst lengths have dropped for Summer, Fall can remain shorter with thick tights. Note the structure of the fabric – next Fall structured fabric features large!
Love the way the staple polo neck jumper has been glamed up.
Note the mixing of fabrics, the ruffles and straight lines – it’s all about mixing features to create one totally new look.

I have to invest in high collars, polo necks. Only have three of them. And as it is on trend now, I can wear short sleeved dresses or sleeveless dresses with them. Never used to buy these because the combination was seldom good. I am going to give it another try next winter.
