Trend Alert – the 2017 Maxi Dress Must Have

We know maxi dresses have been crawling their way back into the fashion scene for a few seasons now but what is this seasons maxi dress? Trend alert tells us stripes, off the shoulder and pale blue are all top on the hot list.  I managed to find a dress with all three characteristics, creating the 2017 Maxi dress must have!

How to style was the next question – not always so easy to answer especially when it comes to the maxi dress. Recently however I discovered Zalando’s Editorial which is really a great goto place for daily style inspirations. Why not check it out too!

Trend Alert – the 2017 Maxi Dress Must Have

Having found this dress online at Shein I realised it wasn’t going to be that easy to style. Online it is shown as being worn with trainers. A look which I love to pieces. However, being short I knew this wasn’t going to work for me. Inspired by looking at Zalando’s Editorial I decided to team it up with a pair of block heeled sandals.

As a final touch I decided on a little black and white cherry and gingham bag which ties in nicely with the silver sandals.

The dress also works with this lovely Caroline Dechamby bag which is great for when enroute as a photographer as it’s the perfect size for my camera. It’s actually a backpac but can also be worn as a simple shoulder bag.
