Like it or not Autumn is just at the doorstep and you can feel the seasons changing already. However it doesn’t mean we have to get all dull and dreary with our outfits. This coming Autumn ย will see a lovely unusual palette of colours appearing in the shops.
Whilst last Autumn/Winter was largely about Bordeaux, this new season is going to be somewhat more adventurous with wonderful shades of crimson and lilac to be seen. Perfect colours to wear together or alternatively team up with emerald green.

Keep your eyes open for ribbed tops – a must have this Autumn. Note the one I’m wearing is a little large – go for something slightly more fitted. They look particularly fabulous with this seasons wide floaty trousers.
Note the slides – worn on purpose here as chunky black sandals are currently one of the hottest sandals on the trend list. They are also going to be hot for next Summer so if you remotely like them they are certainly worth an investment.

Velvet is another must have – the tip is to go for a statement colour. They look great with maxi skirts, jeans or even dresses.
On the bag front – keep your lighter coloured Summer bags ready at hand. They can make such a difference to any darker coloured outfit.

it doesn’t cool down here in Northern Californian until November, but the leaves are already turning greyish, and they are starting to fall amber colored!

Beautiful colour. I still have a purple velvet jacket from years ago. It has slightly more blue in it than red. I wonder whether I can team it with my cream (leather look) pleated skirt.
