Over 10 years ago as I was working for a Finance company and each employee was given a FitBit to measure our fitness and sleep activity. The company focused mainly on fitness and a huge global company fitness competition was initiated.
Interestingly it didn’t take long for the majority of my colleagues to become focused on their sleep. Despite moving more, they realised improving their sleep was actually having the larger positive impact on how they felt.
At this point I want to emphasise the importance of fitness and movement – this article is not a free pass to leading a sedative lifestyle – smile.
However it did make me start researching about sleep. I now know that good sleep is one of the best gifts we can ever give ourselves. It is a key factor to positive longevity.
All this also lead me to research into good sleepwear. A couple of years ago I discovered Dagsmejan and bought a night dress for my Mum for Christmas.
