Styling Orange and Black for Christmas

Hi Everyone,

Currently in Paris with my lovely new dress from Whistles which I have decided is going to be this years Christmas day dress.

People often think light colours need to be styled with light colours. Hence the decision to originally style this dress with camel. Looking back at the photos however I realised that this was quite an ageing look. Hence deciding to funk the dress up with a little black.

Keep reading to see how to style orange with black for Christmas plus a preview of other ways to wear this dress.

Styling orange with black for Christmas

The fisher cap has become my staple accessory this Winter. Love the fun way of repeating black with the leather gloves (souvenir from Constance) and sock booties (Zara).

Photos taken by my Mum close to the Eiffel Tower. The view as we looked up here…

The bag is from the new collection by  FredsBruder I love the many pockets it has inside plus the fact it fits my camera as well (not an easy feat).

Fell in love withe the open back detail of this dress…

This is where I tell you it was a mere 5° whilst taking these pictures… guess there is no need to mention we photographed in a hurry – smile.

Teamed up with this cute oversized cable knit sweater, also from Whistles turns a dressed up look into everyday wear in seconds.

Having promised you the camel look – here it is and i’ll let you decide which you prefer. Camel or black?

Photo taken outside the Peninsula Hotel Paris – a must visit for their fabulous afternoon tea. The shoes are actually a favourite pair of mine from G31 in Zurich. I love wearing them with trousers, a shorter dress or black.
