Hi Everyone, as you know once again it’s the first Tuesday of the month so welcome to the December Ageless Style theme: How to Style Your Holiday Look
Nine ladies, showcase their version of this theme in their ageless style. It’s always exciting to see what each of them come up with. We never share photos beforehand so it’s a complete surprise to us all – I love the fact that we all come up with something so different and end up inspiring each other in new fashion directions.
The linkup is at the end of this post so make sure you stay tuned 😉
Of course a holiday look can be anything from a beach to cocktail party look, however being the Christmas season I decided to take the festive look. I was a little concerned when this theme was first announced – having just posted my little white dress, not wanting to post black and not really having anything in-between…
Then suddenly a lovely invitation came to the rescue. I was once again invited to the fabulous outlet store Fashion Fish (see previous post here). Knowing my dear friend and great stylist Clifford Lilley would be there to guide us, I called him ahead of time announcing to be on the look out for red – a colour somewhat lacking in my wardrobe.
How to Style Your Holiday Look
Styling this holiday look happened by chance.
Clifford had put aside the most adorable red dress by Strenesse. It magically fit like a glove and we got it for an amazing price, under CHF 200. This was a done deal within seconds but of course I took forever deciding on the other items – finally falling in love with a pair of super pretty pink Bally pumps and a soft grey coat by Hallwiler.
Thinking I would have a separate photo shooting of the red dress and then of the pink shoes and grey coat…however time was of an essence and we decided last minute just to throw it all on together and see what happens…
To be honest I never would have thought of combining pink shoes with a red dress before. Now however, there is the danger that this is the only way i’ll be wearing this dress – smile.
Conclusion:
Dare to break the rules – grab your favourite dress and favourite pair of shoes, regardless of colour or style and see what happens when you wear them together…

Oh, you look positively stunning, Yvonne! Red is a gorgeous shade on you and you should wear it more often. I really like the color mix and how well it all worked together.
Thank you so much Jennie – I think I would wear red more often if I could find it easier – it seems to be difficult to find nice red pieces 😉
Have a fabulous week.
