Spring’21 promises to be comfy but stylish in one. Time to get out of those jogging pants and wear something that makes you feel pretty inside and out! One thing for sure is that the flouncy skirt is going to be hot this Spring. Most have stretch waist bands making them the most comfy thing out.

This Spring more than ever it’s also time to dress to lift your mood. Get that colour red out there to be noticed and show the world you’re ready for adventure. At the same time camel is the one base colour that everyone must have in their Spring wardrobe this year. Perhaps it’s a reflection of the fact that many of us are taking a step back to appreciate the basic things in life. As such fashion too makes it’s move by trending towards the neutrals.

The woven bag another must have – decide your vibe. A leather woven piece or a woven straw carry all bag.

Spring wouldn’t be complete without a scarf. Perfect to create a little interest in any outfit plus of course necessary to protect from sudden changes in temperature. This year we see a move towards soft statement pieces. A scarf with a story behind it.

Let’s start with the flouncy skirt. This one really reminds me of my Mum’s old petticoats that I used to wear in the 80’s. In any case they are back on the hot list. Ever so comfy and can be worn so many different ways. Try a coat or denim jacket or long knit. Then as Summer comes a simple t-shirt is all you’ll need. Let the skirt do the rest of the talking.

 

A touch of red is a great way to generate a smile.

 

Booties are a simple staple that we all need in our wardrobe.

 

The hat too is great for adding a little interest to any outfit, protecting from sun or the cold depending on the weather. Make it match to other parts of your outfit. The colour of my hat today is picked up in the scarf.
