If there’s one thing for certain this coming Fall, it’s that knitwear will feature large. Not in a sloppy stay-at-home way like in the past however. Fall 2022 sees a grand shift towards sophistication. The blazer/sweater mix being a hot topic as well as plenty of bright colours.
Before you rush out to buy anything do go through your wardrobe at home. Do throw out those pulled sweaters and the ones with moth holes, (I know they are usually your favourite). Only once you have done this is it time to buy something new to either replace or revamp what you already have.
Today’s post gives 4 very simple tips for styling sweaters this Fall.

4 Ways to Style a Sweater this Fall

Bright with a matching scarf
Under the motto less is more, when it comes to brightly coloured sweaters it is best to keep it simple.
Choose a sweater with the right length depending on what you wish to wear it with. For jeans or other trousers keep your sweater just below the waist band. If wearing with leggings make sure your sweater is longer.
Especially for round necked sweaters, adding a simple silk scarf with matching colours will make all the difference to the overall outfit.
2. Teamed with a sleeveless puffer
Yes, that sleeveless puffer is here to stay this coming Fall. Choose the length that you like best – either short or long. They are so easy to simply throw on top of any sweater/pant combination.
Interestingly enough, whilst colour is featuring large this Fall so is black. Keep plenty of black in your wardrobe as a staple to mix with the pretty bright colours.
Note we’ll be seeing plenty of heels and more elegant outfit touches this season.
3. Teamed under a blazer
Must admit this tip is more about ensuring you have plenty of thinner sweaters in your wardrobe ready to wear under blazers. The blazer is making a real comeback. I’m in love with this stretch blazer – so comfy yet stylish at the same time.
Note that along with wide jeans, button-up carrot shaped jeans are also on the hot list. I’m sure you will be happy about that as this is a style that really suits many shapes and is super easy to wear – smile!
4. Teamed with white t-shirt and white pants
One of my personal favourite combinations for Fall as it still keeps a little Summer fun in the whole outfit. I also love the fact that the t-shirt under sweater has become just as much of an item as a collared shirt.
Teaming this otherwise casual outfit with heels adds a bit of chic.
