Milan Fashion Week Fall/ Winter 2024/5 – Street Style Highlights Part 2

Hi Everyone,

As promised the rain came to Milan this Fashion Week, finding many of us freezing on the streets battling with umbrellas and more. Never mind the show must go on and the tough keep on going…

On a high note, there’s plenty of inspiration for staying stylish in the rain – smile! This post shows street style highlights from Max Mara, Genny, Prada, Gucci, Vivetta and Sportmax shows. There’s still more coming from some of these shows in case you don’t find what you’re looking for.

On a trend note:

Bright orange/red and pale blue teamed together are this seasons hottest colour combination. Even though pale blue is rocking the scene this season, don’t let anyone tell you pink is out – especially pink knits which have become another season staple.

Knee length white dresses seemed to be replacing the LBD this season. That is if the LBD can really ever be replaced?.

As mentioned in my previous street style post, leather coats are a big trend. The same goes for teddy coats. These are to be worn with arms scrunched up and an elegant pair of brightly coloured leather gloves. Oh so very chic!

Bags are morphing larger once again and it’s the return of bag styles from 1978 – especially the Prada Saffiano Bag.

Sheer fabrics are still an item but mostly worn as a layering effect instead of previous seasons where we saw a lot of sheer fabric worn on its own.
