How to Transition Summer Pieces into Fall: Ageless Style Linkup

Hi Everyone, as you know once again it’s the first Tuesday of the month so welcome to  the September Ageless Style theme:  How to transition Summer pieces into Fall!

Nine ladies, showcase their version of this theme in their ageless style. It’s always exciting to see what each of them come up with. We never share photos beforehand so it’s a complete surprise to us all – I love the fact that we all come up with something so different and end up inspiring each other in new fashion directions.

I love today’s theme too as lets be honest in between season is often the hardest to get right – how often do you end up being either too hot or too cold?

The hardest thing for me as the weather cools is having to stop the simple styling of short skirt and t-shirt and move into more serious functional clothing that will actually keep me warm too.

So this is how I transition from Summer to Fall in pictures:

The full summer look…

On a sunny late Summer day when despite the sunshine there is a nip in the air the skirt is replaced with trousers…

…and then for those pre Fall days where it’s cold in the morning but you know it will warm up considerably…

Note the sandals replaced with pumps making this an ideal office outfit.

So far so good but being Switzerland early Fall one day it will be hot and then suddenly freezing cold…so I take my original Summer look and turn it into…

…OK you knew i’d have to include a slightly crazy photo right – haha…the jacket is seriously vintage but I use it every year  – it’s like a peace of me because it’s stretch, unlined and can simply be thrown into the washing machine.

…and of course to complete the outfit the stretch over the knee boots are my other wardrobe staple which come out every year and simply don’t seem to go out of fashion.
