Hi Everyone,
The beginning of the year can be a tough time especially here in Europe where Winter is in full bloom. Even more important to then treat yourself to something special…
I’m going to confess here that I have been feeling those January vibes. So I was ever so thankful to have the opportunity to stay 2 nights at the wonderful Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol. From the minute we stepped out of the car at the drive-in reception area I couldn’t stop smiling. It was all simply so beautiful!
The hotel has 282 rooms (from 45 – 78 square metres) and suites (ranging from 82 – 120 square metres), a kitchen with 15 “Gault Millau Points” and 2 “Hauben” and 5’300 square meters of spa area. But that’s not all a kiddies centre, fabulous teen area with private cinema, an indoor putting green and golf simulator plus many other activities to choose from. There really is something to suit everyone!

A Truly Grand Hotel – Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol
The road up to the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol leads directly into the reception parking area.
One floor higher is the impressive room reception area …
The Rooms:
The hotel has 282 rooms (from 45 – 78 square metres) and suites (ranging from 82 – 120 square metres).
Every room has a balcony with mountain views. Ours was the “Doppelzimmer Deluxe”, 68 square meters with a separate dressing room that can double up as a child bedroom.
The Sacher welcome cake was devine…needless to say it was eaten within minutes of arriving.
The 6th floor of the hotel has the so called “Lodge Zimmer” with beautiful clean lines…
Dining:
There seemed to be an endless amount of choice when it came to dining. The evening choice was between 6 cute cosy dining rooms…
… and a wonderful winter-garden with romantic view into the forest. Despite there being capacity for 600 guests you have the feeling of an intimate dining experience wherever you choose to dine!
During the day there’s a spa restaurant, Wiener cafe, smokers lounge and a couple of bars to choose from.
Half board is included in the room price. Each evening there are 3 menus to choose from including one vegetarian. In addition you can also order a la carte. Here is a little preview of what we ate.
Traditionally in Austria we will always have Wiener schnitzel one evening – smile!
Friday night is desert buffet…
Wellness
With over 5’300 square meters Spa area you can imagine this is one place not to be missed. There’s a special ladies spa area, a sauna village and a separate textile sauna where you can leave your bathing suit on if you choose.
Loved the Olympia length (50m) indoor swimming pool…
Sitting… thinking about which treatment I should go for…
Hidden Corners
Called hidden corners simply because there are so many additional areas to this hotel. Conference rooms, kiddies club, teen area with pool table and private cinema, indoor golf simulator, party bar… to name a few.
We loved the interesting selection of books in the library…
Skiing
There is the whole Olympic ski area just around the corner. A 20 minute drive took us to Seefeld where we had the most amazing day skiing with hardly any other people at all.
One of the highlights being a 20 meter hike up from the highest lift – Seefelder Joch – reaching the most wonderful viewing point ever.
Hotel Sports
There are plenty of short walks to do around the hotel – suitable for all weather and any season. Cross country ski paths are almost right outside the front door.
In Summer there is a golf course, plus tennis, basketball, hiking, climbing, archery, biking, horse riding and even fishing options. Truly something for everyone!
Thank you so much for having us, we left feeling totally relaxed and continue to dream about our wonderful time at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol!
