Already back in Zurich after what I can honestly conclude as being a super interesting Fashion Week in Milan despite huge scepticism. The return of the physical shows was a small move back to normality. What the future will hold no one really knows. One thing for certain Fashion plays a huge part in Milan and will continue to do so.
The crowd was different – no wonder as the French were told they had to have a COVID test done before arriving. The Americans and Asians, who have been having an ever growing impact on Fashion Week were also missing. The smaller crowd however meant we had more time for one another.
We all wore masks – often taken off for photos, for a drink or for a smoke break. My temperature was measured at least 10 times each day.
Looking back at the street style one sees that this is the most wearable street style season yet. Bottega Veneta bags are still a favourite, lots of earthy camel tones and orange lead the way. Pops of yellow and green are also must have colours this coming Autumn.
Fringed looks – also for bags, pleats, leather and velvet are hot on the trend list. Interestingly baby blue, or light blue was also favoured this season. Our favourite white sneakers are definitely taking a step back, replaced by the return of the loafer.
