You often hear the phrase shorts and t-shirts. A combination almost everyone associates with Summer. I always think this is such a shame as the cutest shorts outfits are always those where the shorts are not combined with t-shirts. Save the t-shirts for skirts and trousers. Shorts are meant to be worn with pretty tops – with the exception of sportswear of course.
It was with surprise that I realised I never really wore shorts once last Summer. A true indication of just how cold a Summer we had. Luckily this year is proving to have a lot more sunshine and it truly is time to get out all the shorts and tops combinations you possibly can.

The Birthday outfit
Simply called Birthday outfit because it was what my hubby bought me for my Birthday this year.
The top is from Moresi – a Como label which you can only ever buy in Como. 100% made in Italy. I guess it is partially the exclusivity of this brand that wanted me to have it – smile. Not to forget the fact that I really do have a thing about green.
2. A touch of Fiji
Fiji because I wore this top and shorts outfit together for the first time on my recent trip to Fiji.
The top is this years collection available online at Fratelli M. It also comes in red.
The shorts are from Golden Carrot.

3. The white shirt
An oversized white shirt goes with almost anything but teaming it up with shorts is a real favourite of mine.

4. A piece of Greece
It’s a hobby of mine to buy a piece of clothing as a souvenir wherever I go and this top is a souvenir from my trip to Greece in 2019.

5. Matchy matchy
Just a fun look with oversized shirts and shorts in sort of matchy matchy tones.
The top is a couple of seasons old but came from Vivian Graf – check out her online store.
The shorts have simply been in my wardrobe since ever and seem to have no label – this has to be sustainable right – smile!
6. My favourite Australian designer
This top is from AJE which is truly my favourite Australian designer. Of course I love Zimmerman too but AJE has the odd affordable piece making it my favourite.

7. The skorts
Always fun to have a pair of skorts handy – this photo is several years old and making me think I will have to hunt these down again.
8. Singapore meets New Zealand
I did tell you about my love for buying clothing whilst travelling. The top is from my last trip to Singapore (no name).
Shorts are from a favourite store in New Zealand – I even have teenager memories of shopping here – Zambesi. They feature their own label as well as other brands.
9. Back to Zurich
A couple of years old now, this top came from Rejane Rosenberger who has a lovely online store and a shop in Küsnacht, Zurich.
10. A touch of red
A top that has been in my wardrobe since ever and I am certain there is not a Summer that goes by without me wearing it a couple of times. There is quite simply something special about the colour red – smile!
