Flower Power this Spring: Ageless Style Linkup

Hi Everyone,

Today is the first Tuesday of the month so welcome to  the May Ageless Style theme: Florals. Florals have come back with vengeance becoming one of this Spring’s hottest trends. Hence this post being called Flower Power this Spring.

The beauty of florals is just how diverse they can be worn. As an incredibly girly look or give the outfit a bit of a cheeky trendy twist.

The Linkup is about 10 ladies, showcasing their version of this theme in their ageless style. It’s always exciting to see what each of them come up with. We never share photos beforehand so it’s a complete surprise to us all – I love the fact that we all come up with something so different and end up inspiring each other in new fashion directions.

Flower Power this Spring: Ageless Style Link

With all the beautiful Spring flowers blooming right now, it seemed fitting to do this Flower Power post in amongst them. I love these Wisteria.

The dress I’m wearing has a lovely memory to it as my Mum bought it for me as an early Birthday present when she visited me last year.

I love the fabric which is super soft and floaty – fitting for anything floral if you ask me.

Being Spring it was also not so warm as I got the dress last year so I used to wear it with my brown knee high boots. This year I decided to give it a bit of a different tweak, matching it with navy booties and denim jacket.

Booties and dresses in general are a big theme this Spring. Note though that they should be fitting and not the scrunched down type. You can wear those if you like but they’re off the fashionista list this season.

Peep toe booties are also hot!

Getting possibly a little too “Flower Power” enthused I decided to wear my floral bag with the outfit. It’ doesn’t match at all but this Spring is also about being a little daring, mixing patterns and breaking old rules.

Adding a straw hat is great for adding a little fun to any outfit and has the added benefit of protecting your hair from the effects of harsh sun (not that we have that right now).
