Faux Fur – the 2017 Winter Essential

Hi Everyone,

Happy Sunday. I have just arrived back in Switzerland after a wonderful 4 week break back   in home country New Zealand. Sitting amongst a rubble of mail and other things that desperately need sorting this is just a short post about the main thing I keep thinking about as soon as I look out into the snow!

With the extreme temperatures outside it’s really time to make sure the essential warm coat is in our wardrobe. Winter 2017 is more than ever all about faux fur.

Long gone are the days when it was necessary to keep warm via a real fur coat. Yet at the same time there’s something to be said for the lovely plush feeling of fur on a super cold winter day.

For this winter several main designers have already declared they will no longer be using real fur: Giorgio Armani , Stella McCartney (ahead of the curve also with her faux leather bags), Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Vivienne Westwood to name a few. A favourite recent discovery the brand AGL has a fabulous collection of faux fur bags with matching shoes. The faux fur coat however has become even more exciting than ever – there are so many fabulous colours and styles to choose from. Time to make the most of it and get a fabulous faux fur coat to lift any winter outfit.
