Just back from a fabulous 2 night press trip with Anna, CEO of “The Chalet Edit“.

Before I start the story let me tell you a bit about The Chalet Edit.

The Chalet Edit is a luxury ski chalet company that specialises in creating bespoke tailor made chalet holidays to Europe’s leading ski resorts. It’s worth noting too that Summer mountain activities are getting more exciting. Renting ski chalets in the Summer season has become quite a trend, especially with e-bikes, and other spectacular activities such as discovering the Via ferrata with a mountain guide.

It was super nice meeting Anna in person and experiencing how she really looks after people. She prides herself on the fact that The Chalet Edit offer free concierge services. Wherever possible every personal wish is granted. Making booking a holiday – which can be quite stressful – as easy as a simple phone call and follow up email.

Fabulous Chalet V Luxury in the Verbier Region

Introduction

Chalet V is owned by Patrick and Zoe who started this business 5 years ago. You can really feel their enthusiasm in the super friendly personalised way they host their guests.

Not to forget the special touches throughout. Look at the heart attached to the chairlift in the next picture. Then you will see V’s for Chalet V on practically everything. Even the Lift cabin placed on the outside terrace has a lovely golden V on it (first picture).

The first thing that struck me as we arrived at Chalet V was the cute antique chairlift – just waiting for me to jump onto it and meet my new friends… you’ll see more of them further down – smile.

The entrance

The entrance to Chalet V with the huge TV screen and hidden pinball machine were an indication that this Chalet is full of fun things to do. Spotting the hidden wine cellar off to the left as I walked was a sign we were going to have some fun during our stay.

Lunch

The next minute we were ushered outside to the beautiful sunny terrace and served delicious champagne as a pre-lunch apero.

Then it was time to settle into our rooms.

The rooms

There are 5 bedrooms in Chalet V. One of which is a double bunk room, sleeping 4. In addition there are 4 bathrooms. One has a private sauna inside, another with a special spa shower and another with the most amazing bath tub and separate shower. Lucky me, this was mine – smile!

The beds are very comfy – absolutely perfect for snuggling into after a long day on the slopes. Plus the linen is super pretty with special gold V’s on each duvet and pillow case. I can’t stop mentioning the level of detail everywhere.

I’ve got a real thing about beautiful bathroom details… note the Hermes soap, there was also the matching wash and body lotion in my room.

Living room and kitchen

The living, dining room and kitchen areas are one big room giving the whole central chalet a super homey and welcoming feeling. I loved the high ceilings and fabulous lights dripping off the centre.

As for the kitchen – it truly is the cutest kitchen out with pink oven and matching pink mixer. My daughter has already informed me she is going to copy this but using pastel mint green instead of pink.

Dinner

You can book Chalet V as either fully catered or self catered. However in my opinion having that fully catered experience of chef Nico’s cooking belongs one everyones bucket list.

Hope you’re not hungry when you see what we ate…

Not to be forgotten is the fabulous wine pairing that was done with each meal. On the first night we also had our own private wine tasting given to us by Thierry Constantin.

Spa area

In addition to the sauna and spa shower inside, there is also a fabulously large spa pool and lap pool outside. The perfect place to have a glass of bubbles whilst soaking up the magnificent mountain view. We also had our own private masseuse come – how luxurious is that!

Unfortunately the day we took the photos was not such great weather but I’m sure you’ll agree with me that the view is still spectacular.

Some night vibes…

 

Skiing

Chalet V is actually situated in La Tzoumaz which connects to the whole Verbier 4 Vallées ski region. The 4 Vallées ski area is made up of 6 different resorts; Verbier, Bruson, La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon, that blend in perfectly together. The area has 410km of linked pistes accessed by 93 ski lifts, making it the largest ski area in Switzerland.

Fun fact: Verbier has been voted World’s Best ski resort for a second year and received this award from the World Ski Awards 2022!

A mere 5 minutes drive from Chalet V was both the gondola lift up the mountain and where we could rent our skis. Can really recommend Perraudin Sports for great ski and snowboards including super friendly and helpful service.

La Tzoumaz is in itself such a pretty ski region… even in bad weather.

Conclusion

I had the most fabulous stay at Chalet V and can really recommend it to both families and small groups alike. I truly favour taking the fully catered option – smile!
