It was just yesterday that I was discussing with a friend of mine about the denim of today. In the 1980’s the decision was easy. You knew in order to be cool you needed to have a 5 pocket pair of Levis. As time went on Diesel featured high on the top denim trend list.
Today the choice is yours! You decide on the style the cut, colour, ripped or not. Anything goes as long as you like it and it fits well – sometimes even this doesn’t matter when it comes to denim (dare I say it).
These days like to combine my denim purchasing with a lovely Sunday drive to the Lanquart Fashion Outlet, just an hours drive from Zurich.

Why I Buy My Denim on Sundays!
This photo was taken at Landquart Fashion Outlet in the middle of the afternoon last Sunday. Despite there being many people there is always enough parking and you never get the impression that there are so many people.
I was on the look out for a new little denim skirt and jacket. These are wardrobe staples of mine and my old denim skirt is sooooooo old that it’s literally beginning to fall apart (sniff). Not to worry though as the choice of denim at the Landquart Fashion Outlet is so great there is something for every taste.
The handy shop plan close to the main entrance is super handy if you have a special brand in mind. Despite being an outlet they pride themselves on having no faulty products plus the amazing added value of 30 – 70% off everything!

Nothing like a spot of local wine tasting en-route…
Plenty of opportunity to stop for something to eat – especially useful for keeping shopping companions such as husbands happy – smile!

This is the most overt product placement ever. You could at least have given some guidance on what denim is popular today rather than tell us all about ‘ how fun a bland shopping mall is!

The whole point about the article was that these days there is no specific popular denim – all denim styles are popular and it is up to each of us to decide for ourselves the style we like to wear most or best.
The Fashion outlet is all outside and has a little air like Disneyland to it. I love going there as a Sunday outing and even my hubby thinks it is a fun drive and loves sitting outdoors having a late Summer lunch and mooching round the stores with their fabulous discounts. Being Switzerland the scenery with mountain backdrop is super pretty and there are loads of fun things to do near by. I really wanted to tell my readers about it as an option of something to do in the weekend now that the seasons are changing and most of us are no longer swimming gin the lake.
