Cultivating a wardrobe is not to be compared with learning to play the piano. There really is no need to simply play one piece at a time before you can play your whole wardrobe. However having one special piece in your wardrobe could make all the difference for many years to come.
It’s that special piece that will define you as a person and become the one piece people remember you for.
Everyone can fill their wardrobe with basics. No matter how well you wear them they will remain basics. These are not the pieces that will give you that special feeling as you walk out the door. Especially knowing that the chances are high you’ll bump into someone pretty much wearing the same outfit as you.
None of us are basic so don’t let your wardrobe define you as such!
It’s a daring move to invest in something wow. Takes courage and yet if we let our love for a special piece have it’s way and take it home you can be sure it will be worn for many years to come.

Why Everyone Should Have a Piece of Wow in Their Wardrobe!
None of us are basically so don’t let your wardrobe define you as such! Important though is to be prepared to invest in your piece of wow. It has to be well made and out of special fabric to really be wow!
Here are 3 outfits that will really make a difference in your wardrobe:

Puffer jacket and pencil skirt

Such a fun statement when worn together… simply opening the puffer jacket gives the outfit a totally new look…
Even wearing the skirt on it’s own will make a statement…
Wear the skirt with biker boots or heels.
In Spring this skirt will also look great with simple sneakers and a white t-shirt. Alternatively dress it up with a white shirt and stiletto sandals for mega effect.
The puffer jacket looks great with simply black skinny trousers, jeans or mini skirt… take your pick.
Both puffer jacket and skirt are so unique they will never date but remain special pieces that will make a statement each time you wear them.
2. The pretty floaty velvet dress
This dreamy La DoubleJ – Kenny Dress had me sold the minute I saw it. The fabric is floaty soft velvet – which as you know is one of this seasons must haves. The pretty colours will lift your mood on the dullest of Winter days…
I can also imagine it with dark brown boots and a cosy long knit coat/cardigan.
Alternatively team with a bright red clutch and super high red pumps for date night…

3. The fabulous a-frame dress that can also be belted
This little black dress is so cute. I also thought of teaming it with socks and heeled sandals – deciding that’s a better look if you’re slightly tanned.
I’ve worn as is with over the knee boots but think it would also look cute with a tight black sash around the middle.

I must say, I’ve traveled through Kilchberg hundreds of times on the train but I’ve never actually stopped there! Inspiration to check it out!
