Along with Coco Chanel, her greatest rival, Elsa Schiaparelli is one of the most prominent fashion designers from the time of the two World Wars.
It was however the Diane von Fürstenberg interpretation of the wrap dress in the 1970’s that really first made them very popular. Knee-length, in a clinging jersey, with long sleeves. All photos in this post were taken at Hostal de la Gavina, a real hidden pearl along the coast just 1.5 hours north of Barcelona. My hubby and I just spent a fabulous 3 nights there celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We are both still dreaming of the wonderful time we had. More about this wonderful hotel and surrounding area on blog soon but first today I’m off to Sydney Fashion Week!
