This week visiting Livingdreams in Meilen I was educated by the onsite experts about why coffee tables matter! They might seem like a simple addition to a room or your outdoor furnishings, but they are in fact very important when it comes to both function and aesthetics.

It is often very easy to use the whole furniture budget up on a nice sofa or chairs and then think about getting  the coffee table later. However that can almost be compared to getting dressed but not wearing any shoes. Your room or outdoor space is simply not going to look finished without adding a coffee table.

I simply fell in love with this outdoor fire coffee table. I could really feel its cosy vibes from where I was sitting. Nicole from Livingdreams in Meilen then showed me how she had recently designed such a fire table specifically to another client’s request. So cool you can turn almost any coffee table you like into a fire table. OMG this is really giving me food for thought for my own garden!

Why Coffee Tables Matter!

Functionality:

Coffee tables provide a practical surface for holding drinks. Often just thought of for the sitting room but they can also be useful to have in other rooms too such as a bathroom. Especially large bathrooms which can look empty without something decorative in them.

 

Central focus:

A well-chosen coffee table acts as a centrepiece, anchoring the room. Bringing together seating arrangements, rugs and other furniture.

 

Style Statement:

They can reflect your personality and design preferences. Whether sleek and modern, rustic or eclectic. They often serve as an opportunity to showcase unique materials or craftsmanship.

 

Extending style to the outdoors:

Adding coffee tables to your outdoor setting not only adds practicality but also completes the overall look and feel of your home.

Many people neglect their outdoor areas and then regret it as soon as we have a long hot summer and spend most of our time entertaining outdoors. Think of enjoying a cool drink outside in the evenings  after a long day in the office. This is for sure when you will want a coffee table outside too – smile!

I’ve got a thing about colour pops in the garden and have fallen in love with this orange coffee table that happens to match the cover of the lounger.
