Hi Everyone, as you know once again it’s the first Tuesday of the month so welcome to the February Ageless Style theme: Valentines Date Outfit.
Nine ladies, showcase their version of this theme in their ageless style. It’s always exciting to see what each of them come up with. We never share photos beforehand so it’s a complete surprise to us all – I love the fact that we all come up with something so different and end up inspiring each other in new fashion directions.
The linkup is at the end of this post so make sure you stay tuned 😉
Valentines Date Outfit
Is the first thing that comes to mind for Valentines date nite a little black dress? Well lets face it romance is flowery and sweet so why not wear something flowery and sweet! Black is chic and safe, but I decided to add a touch of spice this time and subject my “Valentine” to a different look this year – smile!
To be honest I found this MaxMara dress by mistake – sauntering through Modissa in Zurich this Saturday with a dear friend of mine – we both saw this dress, fell in love with it. As maxi dresses are hotting up on the trend list we decided it would be the perfect Valentines Date solution!
Lucky I was wearing the red booties at the time – perfect for bringing out the red in the dress. Officially though it’s been teamed up with matching sneakers. Then we found the cutest yellow Furla bag (also in Modissa) to catch all the yellow in the dress.
Love the detail of the black and white trim.
Still a little nervous about wearing something so different on date nite – you know men’s taste and all that. So I showed the pictures to “Mr Valentine” and he loves it. Yippee!
So now I have to go back and take the dress home 😉
Luckily Modissa is having an apero this Thursday 9th February to celebrate the opening of their 5th floor Co-Working Space initiative that’s happening from now till 16th March. Perfect for any fellow bloggers or other entrepreneurs wishing to work for a few hours in the centre of town – you’ll certainly be seeing me there!

This is such a beautiful dress, Yvonne! I really like how you didn’t go with something traditional, but still said romance. I m looking forward to next month’t theme. 🙂 Thanks so much for linking up with Fabulous Friday! Also, I am currently looking for co-hosts, so I hope you will consider the opportunity.
