…and just like that there is snow in my garden!

It’s true, I woke up this morning to a few cm of snow outside and small snowflakes gently falling from the sky. Time to wrap up!

One of the toughest things I find about wrapping up warm and cosy with sweaters, is that my outfits, whilst warm and cosy, often look quite plain and boring. My whole personality seems to disappear amongst a sea of wool.

Then I met Yael and her handmade horn jewellery. Visiting Yael in her sweet studio in the centre of Zurich is like entering a candy store. Each time she drapes me with new exciting colours, pretty necklace designs, the most delicious bracelets and fun earrings.

Turn a Plain Outfit to Wow in Seconds!

Note it’s not just simply about piling a ton of necklaces over your outfit and then looking wow.

You really need to think about your personal style. Are you the sort of person who prefers to wear one statement necklace like the one above or do you prefer to wear more for an even bigger effect?

As this outfit is totally winter white I decided it would be fun to play with a few more necklaces and add my favourite bracelets.

This lovely soft leather clutch is also designed by Yael. I love the fact it is so simple yet has the beautiful embossed pattern on it giving it a very exclusive look and feel.

Working with colour

This year the focus is very much on going either monochrome or adding a touch of “matchy matchy” to your outfits. The same applies when adding colourful jewels to what you’re wearing.

I had great fun combining green necklaces to go with my green sweater.

 

Deciding to team this outfit with a crossover pouch…

 

Here my whole outfit is different shades of camel so I decided to pep it up with some bright orange.

 

I think the orange works better than green when working solely with camel tones.
