Tulle Never Dates – How You Wear it Does!

Hi Everyone,

Just the other day a dear friend of mine said to me “tulle, we’re over that now, that was trendy years ago”. All I can say is she obviously wasn’t there in Paris or Milan this last fashion week. Tulle is one of those items that really has become a wardrobe staple. The piece to keep in your wardrobe and take out again each and every year. The trick is to style it differently each season.

This year I’ve gone for teaming my tulle with chunky knits and boots:

Tulle Never Dates – How You Wear it Does!

Worn with chunky knit and biker boots:

Left to be totally see through and show off legs:

Tulle turned into an evening dress – also with emphasis on showcasing the legs. Picture taken during the Elisabetta Franchi show in Milan.

More for summer or evening – teamed with trainers:

Colour blocking – the would work now with a great sweater replacing the sleeveless top:

Worn as a dramatic down to the floor and more statement dress:

As flouncy as possible – teamed with a t-shirt to once again dress down the whole look. Note how the trend of showcasing legs keeps going:

Keeping warm with a bright pink puffer jacket and Spanx underwear…

Conclusion:

Tulle is currently to be rocked up. Wear it as you wish but “rock” the look with trainers, bulky knits or biker boots. Where possible opt for the sheer version, showcasing legs… yes we can do it over 40, especially in Winter when opaque tights are an option!
