Trend Spotting at the Milan Runway – Genny FW 23/24

Trend spotting ahead of time is one of the best things ever for making sure you buy right and keep your wardrobe up to date. The perfect reason to publish the latest trends spotted at the Genny Fall/Winter 23/24 runway show in Milan. Many of the trends can already be adopted this Spring. The good thing about following a trend ahead of time is that you know it will also be a top trend for the next season to come.

Street style & the runways this past Milan/Paris Fashion week saw a lot of black – a colour also spotted on the runways. Style in general is moving away from comfy grunge to a more formal black and white approach. Fully reflected by Genny in this FW 23/24 show which was set to give homage to the iconic Black Orchid. The show was purposefully staged on an all-black catwalk inspired by a journey to explore the confines of the night.

On the trend front we see clean lines dominating outfits. Tone in tone from top to bottom – an approach that will always look well put together. Long flowing coats/jackets finishing off outfits. Alternatively a new hype is to have long flowing pieces trailing off shorter skirts. Open backs are certainly making a comeback. Plenty of sparkles and sheer fabrics or pretty lace details.
