Hi everyone!
It’s beginning of August already…only a couple more weeks of summer vacation left and next month already we have the next round of Fashion Weeks – I am sooooooooo excited!
I know it seems early but Fall/Winter clothing is creeping into the stores and it’s good to be aware of this coming seasons true trends before hitting the stores and buying!
I’m still trying to figure out how so many different designers all seem to come up with similar trends each season – is it due to the pre collection fabric fairs? Do they send spies to each others ateliers? is it chance? When I find out I’ll let you know – or if you know please do leave a comment at the end of this post.
Sitting in the shuttle bus between shows there was alot of mumble about Gucci leading the scene this season and everything else being a version there-of – personally I am not so sure.
Of all the shows I attended in Milan last March Dsquared2 was one which really seemed to nail a number of hot trends all in one. I really got the lighting so wrong whilst photographing this show (something I’m hoping won’t happen with new camera – smile) so I am going to tell you right upfront that all photos in this post are from milanfashionweek.buzz.
Khaki remains hot – especially with camouflage print. There seems to be a perpetual mix of military and gothic all in one.
That military look was seen in a few shows – see John Galliano show, but always mixed with some feminine detail – see brocade work on skirt. Tassel style earrings chosen throughout the show – a feature fairly unique to Dsquared2.
Watch the combination of tough with soft pink and blue in the following outfits:
It’s all about layering and lace…having a touch of military and softening it up. This coming season is free for you to layer as much as your imagination will let you. Notice skirt over trousers above.
Fur – featuring even more than ever this coming season…(fabulous faux fur of course).
Above is just one example of fur with military type jackets – a trend also spotted in Tranoi with alesandro squarzi…
Last but not least it is lovely to see navy blue continue to feature. Note the impact of a little red trim. This bag is awesome…I really want one!!!
Feeling inspired for Fall?

Whau that is all I can say, I myself think it is just a bit to much but maybe for those jung ones it maid be something which they like.
Thank you for the show it is very interesting. ❤️👍😘
Wow! I normally am not such a big fan of Dsquared, because I don’t like the prints very much. But this collection is different. Feminine and sturdy, I love it. That promisses a lot for fall!
