Hi Everyone,
First day back from Milan and it’s time to recap on the shows. The trends coming through for next Spring/Summer are clearly defined.
Anyone loving pastels – this is going to be your Summer. A fun twist is the pastel coloured military pieces. I will certainly need some of that in my wardrobe! Where pastels are not an item the marine theme takes over. Stripes remain a hot item with plenty of fun asymmetric to choose from.
The oversized theme still rocked the runway. Shorts were also shown in abundance. Tule is here but more daring than ever. The best is to wear it with a simple body or body and shorts underneath. Leather is back on the hot list – my guess is that now is the time to invest in a piece!
On the accessory front bucket bags are obviously here to stay. As are the baker boy caps which were spotted in a number of colours. Sunglasses seen on the runway were all large. Round shaped one featuring big.
Shoes – lots of flats on the runway, or laced boots plus of course simple dainty pumps.
All photos in this post are taken by me.

Maryling
Maryling was founded in Italy, in 2010, by a former Giorgio Armani senior designer with the aim of providing women with a 24/7 wardrobe full of sophisticated items and accessories…
My first show this season. Strips and asymmetric were the theme of this show.
2. Max Mara
Check out the lovely array of pastels in this seasons Max Mara collection. Love the pastel coloured military designs.
“The new 2020 Spring-Summer collection hits the catwalk: from three-piece Prince of Wales suits to outfits combining Bermuda shorts with multi-pocket shirts in pastel colours; and from black-and-white scarves featuring micro-prints to long skirts in delicately coloured Paisley“…from official Max Mara site.
3. Emporio Armarni
It felt like being pleasantly engulfed in a sea of pastel and silver as I watched the Emporio Armani show. Fabulously beautiful floaty pieces sauntering down the runway…
“The attitude in living the city is effortlessly feminine.
A harmony of soft colors and worn surfaces, with touches of powder pink, aquamarine and sky blue mixed with silver, and then exotic notes of cornflower blue and acid green.
An airy lightness dominates the shapes, which appear to sweep over the body, while the accessories dictate the urban tone of the whole.” From the official Armani site…
4. Anteprima
The Anteprima show was a truly special collection this season. Inspired by Havana. Colourful elegance with a twist. Black also featured large in this collection. In general there seems to be a new black coming back on the fashion scene with many fashionistas no longer feeling the pressure to be colourful. The pure black outfit is once again an item for all seasons.
5. Sportmax
Leather, navy and a nautical theme ruled this seasons Sportmax show. Watching this collection one could ask if the trench is trending shorter? Once again we have cute baker boy hats to match several outfits.
6. Elisabetta Franchi
The wonderful blue and seaside atmosphere of the Elisabetta Franchi show made my heart melt. Instantly starting to dream of where next Summer might possibly take me. Blue oceans, cruise liners and cocktails sprung to mind.
Now it’s your turn to make the same journey…
7. Cividini
The Cividini show this season was full of colour – making us feel as though we were sitting in a gallery with colourful paintings/works of art passing us by. Inspired by the 1990 Bernardo Bertolucci movie “The Sheltering Sky”.
