Hi Everyone,
In a world where we are all – or at least many of us are – trying to be a lot more conscious about our clothing purchases, focusing on capsule wardrobes is a great start.
Even better of course if you find a lovely sustainable brand that actually has all of your capsule wardrobe staples. Recently I was ever so happy to stumble upon a new Swiss based brand Avell. They have exactly the main pieces I am looking for in my 2026 capsule wardrobe.
This year I am focusing on tailored wide legged trousers, a statement white shirt and short sleeved cardigan.
Back to Avell:
Avell is a super new label – created in 2025 by Ana Pequito. Ana is Portuguese but lives in Switzerland. For years she felt she was divided between two worlds – fashion and healthcare. However, through Avell she is now closing the division and allowing herself to live in both worlds at once.
All Avell pieces are made in Portugal and produced in small quantities to ensure more conscious and sustainable consumption.
I love the feel of the fabrics; every piece is super soft yet looks crisp on the body. The collection is truly timeless and can be worn again-and-again over many years – either as a set or easily combined with other favourite wardrobe pieces.
Ana explained to me that she wanted to create a brand that was both elegant and practical. One that could be handed down from generation to generation. My daughter has already had her eye on my personal pieces.

The Short sleeved cardigan worn with tailored wide legged trousers.
Top trick:
Wide legged trousers are a great way to look taller by wearing them with heels. Because the legs are so wide they hide the fact that you are wearing heels. Leaving you with a lovely tall silhouette – smile!
Trousers available in 2 colours online here.
Short sleeved cardigans are a definite capsule must have for 2026. Great worn with a skinny top underneath, or a white shirt. However as soon as the temperatures warm up be sure to wear your short sleeved cardigan on its own. They also look great teamed up with skirts or even over a dress to give it a new look.
Available in three colours here.
The statement white shirt
White shirt available online here.
My favourite way to style a white shirt is tucked in the front and left out at the back. Sometimes I think I need to grow up and wear the whole shirt tucked in…might happen one day – smile!
