Hi Everyone,
December is the month when there are loads of mid-week Christmas parties/invitations after work. But how to dress? You don’t want to turn up in the office looking like you’re dressed to go out. On the other hand you also don’t want to go out looking like you’ve just come from the office and haven’t bothered to get changed at all.
Todays’ article gives you a super easy trick anyone can use to take an outfit from day to night in seconds without carrying a spare suitcase around with you or spending forever getting changed. Sound good to you? Then keep on reading for the full story of “The Secret to Taking an Outfit from Day to Night!”.
The Secret to Taking an Outfit from Day to Night
Let’s start with a typical December outfit for the office…
I love getting away with a shorter coat/jacket instead of long coat when I know I am going out later that same night.
The boots are suede so easy to fold up and put into a bag later. The leather look-a-like skirt is simply a must have this Winter.
I love this suede carry all bag too. So versatile and handy for small shopping. You’ll see later on how I wear it at night.
So now how to convert this daytime look to night in seconds:
I’ve started by wearing the bag in a clutch style rather than over the shoulder. Next step is replacing the sweater with a more dressed up top. I always have a thin top in my bag for those “just in case” moments.
This particular top is super handy as it is silky on the front, cotton stretch on the back which adds warmth and means the top hardly creases when folded neatly.
Next it’s just a matter of replacing the boots with a pair of heeled pumps and there you have it – from day to night in seconds.
I tend to leave the boots overnight in the office and wear the coat loosely draped over the shoulders for warmth whilst maintaining that more “going out” look and feel.
