Just back from my first weekend skiing this year. Temperatures were super cold – well in the minus. Both hubby and I had new ski jackets from the Swiss skiwear brand Capranea.

I was however finally cosy and warm the whole day through despite freezing weather. What struck me even more however was I could wear the jacket inside too. I did notice it was warm but it’ didn’t make me sweat or feel uncomfortable. At this point I will say I always suffer from the cold so the last point may simply be a reflection of that – smile!

The warmth in each of the outerwear jackets is ensured through premium insulations from 750-fill-power goose down and Capranea’s own Pinneco wool-blend padding.

My outer ski jacket, inner fleece jacket and pants in this picture are all from Capranea. Only the outer jacket is new this season. The other pieces are already 2 years old but look and feel like new. Timelessness is one quality that Capranea prides itself on and I personally think they do it very well.

Note how the whole jacket is one colour but there is a play on different textures.

Fun Fact: Capranea was founded by Marc Haensli. His father Walter Haensli along with legend Howard Head co-developed Head Skiing – a brand well known globally. Stands to reason that Marc got inspired to create something fun and authentic himself.

The skiwear is all designed in Switzerland and materials are also sourced in Switzerland. Everything is made in Europe in exclusive luxury apparel factories.

I was up for testing the freedom of movement and certainly feel free to move in my Capranea outfit – smile.
