Usually for me it’s a matter of investing in some even richer face moisturiser to combat added dryness from the cold. However in addition this Winter I was lucky enough to experience an AVEDA Botanical Repair treatment at SZENA Les Coiffeurs, right in the centre of Zurich.

The whole treatment only takes just over an hour and you can team it up with a special hair styling at the end so that not only is your hair in better condition but you feel absolutely fabulous as you walk out of the salon. The Best AVEDA Botanical Repair Treatment in Zurich
What is AVEDA Botanical Repair?
AVEDA Botanical Repair is a plant-powered, bond-building treatment formulated for all hair types and textures to create hair that is stronger, shinier, and naturally full of life.
It uses ground-breaking molecular plant technology for instantly repaired and strengthened hair and is also packaged in post-consumer recycled packaging, eliminating use of virgin petrochemical plastics.
There are 4 main steps to the Botanical Repair program:
- Shampoo – with the special AVEDA Botanical Repair hair strengthening shampoo.
- Strengthen – by spraying the Botanical Repair No. 2 over the hair.
- Bond Activator – using the special AVEDA Botanical Repair Mask and leaving it in the hair for 10 minutes to really soak in.
- Botanical Repair Leave in Treatment – this is sprayed onto hair after the mask an before styling. It instantly strengthens and repairs from the inside out. Detangles to help prevent breakage. Protects against heat up to 232°C.
How I became a fan of AVEDA.
I first discovered AVEDA hair products in NZ in 1989. Already then AVEDA was revolutionary when it came to producing fabulous hair products which are plant based and 100% free from harmful ingredients.
I can honestly say that I have been an AVEDA fan ever since. My hair feels noticeably stronger and less fizzy since having the Botanical Repair treatment last week.
SZENA Les Coiffeurs
SZENA Les Coiffeurs is right in the centre of Zurich, just behind Globus.
The minute I walked into the salon I had the feeling I was visiting friends rather than a hair salon. There is a lovely entrance with a whole range of AVEDA products available to buy, plus some other cute fashion brands to look at and discover whilst you wait.
Once in the main salon the large wooden statement table gives everything a very homely feel to it. I started my treatment with a lovely glass of AVEDA tea and then moved on to bubbles – feeling extremely pampered.
Before the AVEDA Botanical Repair treatment began I was given a super relaxing massage by Samira – the lady with the dark hair in the photo above. First I was asked to choose a coloured card. The massage oil used was then based on the card I chose. Samira looked after me for the whole treatment and did an amazing styling job at the end – do you like my new wavy hair?
Added bonus: Right at the end I even had the possibility of getting my makeup retouched. This was such a nice touch.
Conclusion:
I truly believe every woman should treat themselves to this AVEDA Botanical Repair treatment before Christmas – choose a day where you have a date/Christmas party in the evening and feel fabulous!
