Hello from Milan,
Wow what a start to Milan Fashion Week! We see the city once again being a true melting pot for photographers all over the World. Life is back to normal plus more. Along with this normalisation comes a sense of freedom when it comes to street style. Even major fashion houses such as Prada have not entirely dictated the outfits of their muses, leaving them with the artistic freedom of creating their own looks – or so it appeared.
Fendi certainly had surprises on the street this season with an army of rubber shoes/boots. Lime green and aqua blue being favourites on their colour palette. Although there was still plenty of grey and neutrals to be spotted as well. In fact one of the the hottest trends this season is to team lollypop pink or green with grey.
Whilst bags in general are getting bigger there does seem to be a hype about wearing a selection of micro bags around the neck. One could say they are the necklace of Spring 2023.
Silver and mauve – two colours we’ve started to see in the high street stores, have become street style favourites. The white suit is certainly a must have this season.
One of the biggest messages is that now it’s time to dress up and be seen. Leave the track suits at home. Ripped jeans were still spotted but they have certainly become the exception rather than the rule!

Hi dear Yvonne thank you very much for your store style fashion outlook it surely is a very interesting show by itself and I love all those different styles a very exciting time to come and for the future
Great pictures, such a lovely insight of what’s going on in Milan
This was such fun to see. What struck me this time, is that they were all bare legged and some of them had bare parts in their outfit too. Brrrrr….so cold.
There was one particular bag which was favoured by many. I’ve seen it in your post in green 4 times, in red once and in brown/tan once. I wouldn’t mind at all to have it myself. But I am sure I don’t want to pay the money for it.
The coat with the seahorses embroidered on it, was a favourite of mine too. And the bag of the lady with the black sleeveless dress, tan boots and coat. The bag with the face on it. Fun.
PS I cannot imagine I will ever wear those ugly rubber boots, but I have been eating such words before.
