A white shirt and denim skirt are, quite simply put, a couple that will never go out of fashion. 2025 however sees a new take on the trending cuts of both pieces.
Whilst the long pencil denim skirt has been en trend for some seasons now – this year we take it to a new level by introducing the patchwork version. BTW patchwork jeans themselves are also quite a topic this year!
On the shirt front, we see the cropped white shirt featuring larger than ever before this year. I am wearing it today closed and purposefully showing one sleeve left long and the other rolled up so you see that both versions work. Outside of the photo shoot I wore both sleeves rolled up. You can also wear a simple white tank top with the skirt and then the cropped shirt left open over – giving that jacket like feel to the shirt.

My outfit today is from a very interesting brand Doodlage . I first discovered the brand a couple of weeks ago whilst at the Atelier Days in Erlengut.
A super interesting brand with many different sustainability initiatives all packed into one.
Doodlage was founded on the belief that clothing should not just be beautiful but also meaningful. As such they have mastered the art of up cycling discarded factory waste. They are certified for up cycling practices by the Ministry of textiles India and have been given an up cycling mark.
In addition Doodlage collaborates with carefully chosen local artisans to create unique high quality pieces.
I can confirm that the garments are made beautifully.
Doodlage helps consumers connect more meaningfully with their wardrobes by offering customisation, repair and alteration services.
Customers are encouraged to return Doodlage clothes they no longer need to the studio where they’re sorted for circular reuse.
