The 2025 Wallpaper Trends and Mood Boards

Hi Everyone,

Walking into the Livingdreams showroom in Meilen this month I realised that one of the things that really makes the entrance of the showroom so special is the forest like wallpaper in the first room.

Mentioning this to Joelle and Alina (the two experts on site), they were super excited to introduce me properly into the new world of wallpapers. The current trends and just how far wallpaper has evolved.

Did you know you can get wallpaper that will soak up sound. You can also get fabric wall paper, wallpaper designed for outdoors or even to be used as flooring. Today you can even frame your wallpaper as art or use it on the ceiling as a 5th wall.

Enough of an introduction, keep on reading to find out more about “The 2025 Wallpaper Trends and Mood Boards”

The 2025 Wallpaper Trends and Mood Boards

As already previously mentioned one of the biggest interior design trends for 2025 is biophilic design. ย This involves incorporating natural elements into interior spaces to create a more harmonious and health-promoting environment.

This also resonates with the 2025 wallpaper trends which are all about the rise of nature-inspired decor, with botanical wallpapers taking center stage. Designs that effortlessly bring the tranquility of the outdoors into your space. Whether youโ€™re looking to create a serene living room, a restful bedroom, or a calming bathroom, botanical wallpaper offers a way to connect with nature from within your own home.

Mood Boards:

Joelle and Alina explained to me that when trying to decide on the right wallpaper for you it’s a good idea to create a whole mood board for the room you are decorating.

To show me properly we designed 3 mood boards together for 3 different types of rooms. It was so much fun exploring the Livingdreams showroom and simply adding whatever looked right for each mood board.

Come and see what we came up with:

Mood Board 1 for the Livingroom:

Here we decided to go for browns and gold with a lighter accent for the carpet. Love the pretty Japanese-like pattern of the wallpaper.

We added the balls as we are so close to Christmas and this sort of room really wants pretty brown and gold Christmas decorations.

Mood Board 2 for the Bathroom:

As a bathroom tends to have lots of water we’ve chosen a fish motive to bring a kind of river/outdoor feeling into the room. I added the green marble slab as it is one of my dreams to have a bathroom with green marble in it. The carpet slab is more to indicate a colour for bath mats and the copper/reddish tones for the towels.

Adding glass and copper accents/accessories would also turn the room into a very special place. Imagine having such a space to shower in each morning – what a beautiful way to start the day!

Mood Board 2 for the Bedroom:

Shades of green are a beautiful way of adding calm and peace to your sleeping space. We’ve added the magnifying glass to our mood board as we decided it would be nice to integrate a special reading corner into the bedroom.

We’ve also especially chosen different shades of green – adding interest to the room. Bedrooms tend to look and be cosier with a variety of different fabric textures and colours. Of course it is still important to keep some sort of theme going through the room.

Which is your favourite of the three mood boards above?
