Sportmax Milano Women SS 2023 – Street Style & Show Highlights

Hi Everyone,

What a difference standing outside Sportmax and then venturing in was. Outside was a sea of black with bright red and orange nuances. Looks like Fall/Winter 22 is all about sophisticated black with touches of colour. All black is also OK – but leave the black stockings at home. Bare backs are a real item – particularly for the dressed up evening outfit.

In contrast what’s in store for Spring/Summer 23 is a fabulous array of colours. ‘Bouba/Kiki’ was the title given to Sportmax’s latest collection – in reference to a series of psychological experiments begun by Wolfgang Köhler in 1929. In the experiment most people selected the word ‘bouba’ for the curvier, rounder shapes, and ‘kiki’ for the sharper, spiker ones. This collection is certainly a mixture of both.

Lower waistlines are returning for sure. Personally I am ever so thankful for that. Plenty of a-frame flouncy skirts or long slinky looks. Leg hugging boots are a must have – especially colourful ones. Once again it would seem next Spring/Summer will see plenty of midriffs on show. Most exciting though is the array of colour especially very bright greens, pinks and orange.
