Simple Chic for the Weekend

Hi Everyone,

Weekends are the time we should all be able to have a break. Including a break about having to think up the most awesome outfit of the day to wear!

Todays post is simply a little inspiration of how to create a simple chic outfit for the weekend. One that’s easy at hand and doesn’t need too much thinking about. The one outfit I make sure to have in my wardrobe each season for those days I am in a hurry to rush out the house. Wanting to look good with as little effort as possible!

In addition I’m sharing a little trick I’ve started to save plastic… and make my shopping not quite so obvious 😉

Keep reading to find out more about simple chic for the weekend.

Simple Chic for the Weekend

The first thought when creating a simple chic outfit is to identify some of the key trends of the season. Based on this you can then think of the ones you would like to become your staple for the season. Take into account colour, style and fabric.

One of the reasons this outfit has become my “easy chic” outfit is the fact it is so light and easy to wear. The skirt simply can not be creased.

The top is super soft and floaty. However being bright red it makes an impact whenever worn. Shown here with my simply chic outfit of the season but it’s also great teamed with skinny trousers or shorts!

Keeping it simple the three seasonal trends I focused on are:

The colour Red

Pleats

Sneakers

Next step is to prepare for slightly cooler temperatures…a denim jacket is a simple must have for Spring/Summer…

My little trick I’ve adopted for shopping in town is to now always take two bags. A little one with wallet and phone and then another big enough to contain any purchases I might make.

Sounds funny but this makes me feel ever so good – knowing I can tell shops to keep their plastic bags. Not to mention the added benefit that if you meet someone in town (i.e. Hubby), they have no idea what you actually purchased – smile!
