…Vroooom, and my heart skips a beat in Davos as I see a lovely row of the newest high powered Audi e-tron cars ย in front of me. The best is yet to come. Today I can simply walk up to the one of my choice and take it for a test drive in convoy through the picturesque Swiss mountains.
We are going on a drive to Schloss Schauenstein to meet star chef Andreas Caminada in person – I can hardly wait. Rumour has it that he has a cooking master class ready for us…

Revving up Tastebuds: The Ultimate Audi Culinary Drive with Star Chef Andreas Caminada
As I slide behind the wheel of the Audi Q6 e-tron, the sleek interior and cutting-edge technology make me feel like I’m piloting a spacecraft rather than car.
Mr FunkyForty braces himself for take-off. After all 0-100 km/hr in 4.3 seconds is no mean feat.
OMG check out the dashboard – there is even a special dashboard for the passenger where they can watch films etc. ย Note, there is a built in feature that means the driver can not see what’s on the passengers screen.
Soon ย we’re both chilled driving along the pretty mountain pass. I’m now allowed to try out the new speaking feature.
Imagine, like “Siri”, you can simply ask the car to do things such as wind down the window for you. Such a fun feature. We were both like little kids trying out different requests.

Upon arriving at Andreas Caminada’s culinary haven, we’re greeted with a warm welcome and a promise of an unforgettable gastronomic journey.
The cooking course is an immersive experience where we learn the secrets behind some of his signature dishes. The chocolate soufflรฉ for one was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to try this recipe out at home.
…made from scratch right in front of our very eyes. Of course I believe it only turned out so well because of how I beat the egg whites – hehe!
Chef Caminada’s passion for fresh, locally-sourced ingredients is evident in every step and his instructions are both inspiring and accessible.
Later we are given a tour of the private vegetable garden.
Being the secret gardener and cook that I am, I find myself quite at home here. My thoughts begin to wonder if I could possibly simply move in – smile!
After the garden tour, we sit down for a multi-course gourmet lunch that is nothing short of a masterpiece. Each dish is paired with innovative non-alcoholic drink creations that enhance the flavours and elevate the dining experience to new heights.
The return journey:
With our senses satisfied and hearts full, it’s time to head back to Davos.
This time I choose the Audi e-tron GT for the return journey. The drive is as exhilarating as the first with the GT offering the perfect blend of power and comfort.
Half way back we pull over and switch drivers. Hubby is not complaining – smile. In fact he decides to have great fun keeping up close behind our instructor.
As we wind our way back through the mountains, I’m already reliving the day’s highlights in my mind. The thrill of the drive, the joy of cooking with a master chef and the unforgettable tastes of our gourmet lunch…

Wow: the Audi RS e-tron GT goes from 0-100km/hour in 2.5 seconds!!!
With these new Audi e-tron cars you can also drive up to 600km before having to recharge.
Charging these days is also so much faster. You can charge 70-80% of the battery within ย 18 minutes.
