Hi Everyone,
Paris Fashion Week is now in full swing and the Dior show yesterday was no exception. As always it was was absolutely buzzing with photographers and Dior muses. Whilst Milan last week was a sea of colour Dior was pretty much black and white. Going through the pictures makes me feel as though I am either stepping back in time or have gone for a trip way back into the hillside villages of Spain.
Tulle, tulle and more tulle to be seen with not much worn underneath, Plenty of brocade blazers. Lots of hats – these made me think of the 50’s or even earlier.
There is one thing that is truly to be said about Dior – once you have a piece it does become timeless. That saddle bag will be an item for ever – same with the ready to wear. Let’s face it has tulle ever been out? Can you ever be dressed wrong wearing a tailored black brocade blazer, or the classic Dior Bar jacket?
Anyone with long hair – this is the season for plats. Time to get out your chunky jewellery – especially when it comes to pearls. Admittedly it was freezing yesterday but the sun was still out and I was surprised at how many were not wearing sunglasses – could be a new trend in itself.
Curious to see what the rest of the week has to offer on the street style front. For sure not all shows are black and white. Anrealage had a stunning colourful light show on stage last night with outfits changing colour right in front of our very eyes.
