Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 19 – Runway Highlights Part 1

Hi Everyone,

What a week, starting off with Paris Fashion Week, moving on to the ITB in Berlin and then finishing off with a champagne breakfast at Tara Jarmon in Zurich yesterday! Looking forward to a lovely quiet Sunday – smile.

This season I visited 8 shows in Paris. Always so interesting to see the differences between Milan and Paris on the runways. A few trends continued to be seen in both locations such as animal print, psychedelic pink, tartan and plenty of black. The handkerchief hem featured along with the continuation of white boots and faux fur nuances.

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 19 – Runway Highlights Part 1

Mashama

The Mashama collection this season  had a real focus on environmental consciousness. Introducing Repreve, a fabric from recycled bottles.

Parkas and coats had thick faux fur features. External strength was shown in some looks whilst lighter femininity portrayed in others through handkerchief hems and cinched waists.

The checks seen above are a theme seen throughout the runways this season. The same can be said for animal print and white boots.

Kristina Fidelskaya

Inspiration for this new season comes from New York, Wall Street in the Nineties, before the technology boom. It’s about the urban woman who embraces her inner strength and expresses her attitude via her wardrobe.

Emphasis was placed on the use of different textures and materials such as worsted wool and washed viscose twill. Fluid silk shirts and red patent leather jackets featured along with structured dresses and coats in wool flannel. Note the continuation of the animal print theme.

The colour palette focused mainly on blacks, reds, yellow, camel and pink.

Cyclas

The Cylclas woman is intelligent, self-assured and bold all in one.

This collection is unique, an emphasis on oversized tailoring which is a big theme for Fall 2019. Note the colourful stockings where the colour has nothing to do with the rest of the outfit. This is a trend that was spotted throughout the runways this season.

Soft and warm colours such as light khaki, sage and skin beige are seen combined with a flash of fluorescent lime green, winter lemon and cool pastels.

Nobi Talai

The Nobi Talai Fall 2019 collection consisted of wonderful bold lines and classic structure. Each outfit had a strong message of its own. A woman wearing Nobi Talai has every right to walk with confidence in these carefully designed masterpieces.

Focus this season on clean lines and tartan. Colour palette similar to many in Paris this season with cream, black, brown and blue. High waists with wide floating trousers, dress lengths were either long or short – take your pick.
