Hi Everyone,
Wow, was all I could say as I sauntered through 3 floors of the Giorgio Armani Privé 2005 – 2025. A collection of Giorgio Armanis’ couture work over the past 20 years. Despite being 90 years young, Armani worked into the wee hours of the morning before the exhibition officially opened. The detail and precision with which he works is perfectly obvious to the eye.
I was simply in awe, taking note of the stunning pieces of couture art. Each corner we turned there would be yet another stunning display of garments. All created by one of the most amazing fashion artists of all time – Giorgio Armani. My dear friend Beatrice, who is with me, tells me that the Italians refer to Giorgio Armani as “il Re”, which means the King. A well deserved title if you ask me.
The exhibit features approximately 150 garments drawn from 40 different collections over the past 20 years. The lighting, the music, the whole setting will simply transport your senses into a whole new world of glorious fashion.

A 30 minute trip from Milano Centrale (either by taxi or metro), will take you to the doors of the Armani/Silos. This is where the exhibition is currently located. You can book tickets online here. Having said that, there were so few people when we went that at times we felt like we were having our own private viewing. This made the whole experience even more special.
This is the dress Beatrice and I are still fighting over which one of us gets first (in our dreams of course). I’m sure you understand us – smile!

My conclusion:
This exhibition is truly a must see for anyone with an aesthetic eye and interest in fashion. It is one that will truly inspire and enrich you.
