My Very First Photo Vernissage

Hi Everyone,

Have you ever had a dream for a very long time and then finally it comes to fruition? This is what happened to me last week. For years now I have been wanting the chance to showcase and sell my photos from Milan and Paris street style. However as you know life always got so busy and everything else took priority. Now I finally got to realise my dream and the outcome has given me the courage to keep on going…

Keep on reading to find out more about “My Very First Photo Vernissage”

My Very First Photo Vernissage

Here with Martin and Manuela from Szena Les Coiffeurs
How it came to be:

It all started at a visit to my favourite Aveda hair salon in Zurich – Szena Les Coiffeurs. They used to always have a huge photo in the entrance to the salon. On the day I visited it was gone and I spontaneously suggested that one of my street style pictures gets hung there.

Manuela (co-owner of Szena Les Coiffeurs, together with her husband Martin), instantly said yes. Next thing I knew she sent me the date for our vernissage when we would present my picture – and others for people to buy. We did this in collaboration with Bonfadini Franiciacorta.

There was no pushing my dream to the back of my todo list now…

Next came the hours (literally) of deliberation, deciding which photos I would showcase. Every picture was taken during fashion weeks in Paris or Milan and has it’s own story.

I decided on going very simple with black or white frames. The concept being that small prints would be mostly in black and white with a black frame. All coloured photos were given white frames. All pictures are numbered limited editions with 10 being the maximum for each picture. I am so proud to say that several photos are already at 3/10 – not bad considering it was my first ever vernissage.

There are still a few photos available for sale at Szena Les Coiffeurs.
