Hi Everyone,
Max Mara’s SS25 show at Milan Fashion Week was one of understated elegance and minimalistic chic. I find it interesting when it is said that interior design and fashion trends often move in parallel. Max Mara is proving once again ready to stand strong and not give in to the interior design world’s urge to move into colour.
Visiting the Max Mara showroom subsequent to the show I learn that the inspiration for this seasons collection comes from a mixture of science and maths:
“Max Mara finds inspiration in the discipline which requires its students to believe that a cat is simultaneously alive and dead, and explores the mind-bending world of irrational, imaginary and transcendental numbers. Who said that there’s no mystery in mathematics?”
To me this show is a typical reflection of the Max Mara timeless elegance we all know and love. The magic I see is that no matter the design everything simply fits perfectly.

Max Mara SS25: Milan’s Runway Reverie and Street Style Chic
Runway highlights:
Note the shirt open until the waist with visible bralet just showing through – a statement trend for SS 2025.
Note the long slim-line skirts in several different fabrics – it is simply the length that remains the same.
The skinny tube dress remains an item as does the long, slightly oversized blazer.
Max Mara Street Style:
What is being worn for Fall/Winter 2024/5
Monochrome camel outfits with knitted skirts.
Long leather coats.
All black outfits.
All white was also a huge topic throughout street style this season.
