Hi Everyone,
This Fashion Week I found myself attending my second live Missoni Fashion show. There was certainly a special buzz about the different Missoni outfits worn by other show attendees, (see the street style post here). So much so that upon my return to Zurich I finally decided it was time for me to also wear a Missoni dress.
Scouting through the Missoni collection at Maison Gassmann (the best place in Zurich for a piece of Missoni), I fell in love with this dress. Possibly because of the hint of pink in some of the stripes. Confession – I really do have a weak spot for pink in Winter.
Keep reading to find out more about why I’m in love with this iconic dress.
I’m in Love with this Iconic Dress
Fabulous feeling on the skin
Actually wearing the dress and feeling the fabric on my skin brought a whole new perspective about Missoni to me. It felt so good I was reluctant to take it off at the end of the day.
Simplest styling out
The dress, an oversized puffer coat and boots and I already felt as styled as could be. I honestly don’t think another dress could be quite so easy and have the same impact.
Double knit chic
A little concerned I was in love because of the pink, I decided to team the dress with my new long cardigan coat from Philo-Sofie, available at Maison Gassmann.
I love this more neutral toned outfit too…
Travel in style
Have made my mind up that next time I fly to NZ I’ll be wearing my Missoni dress. It has to be the most comfy way to look stylish ever!
Added benefits being that it doesn’t crease and folds up into a very small package.
Date night
Giving the dress some thought I realised it would also look great teamed with a belt and heels. Being such a maxi in length also means I can play with the length of blazer worn on top. Both cropped and long/oversized are going to look great.
Missoni dress spotted belted at September Milan Fashion Week.
Timeless
Last but not least this Missoni dress is absolutely timeless. At a time when there is so much thought given to sustainability and doing good for the planet – it doesn’t get more sustainable than this when it comes to fashion. An opportunity to buy less but stick to good quality timeless pieces.
