The chunky sweater, chunky cardigan, almost chunky anything is a huge hot item this Autumn / Winter. The first thing that comes to mind when styling these tends to be either trousers or jeans. This post is a little skirt pairing inspiration for you.
The power of the skirt is not to be underestimated. This year anything below the knee is perfect. You can go super short if you wish. Especially when teamed with over the knee boots. However the main trend this season really is the longer length. Perfect for pairing that chunky cardigan.
Whilst the long chunky cardigan may not be a new trend in itself – new is that they don’t need to be longer than the skirt they are worn with. The same rule applies to coats. The world now wants to see a little glimpse of what we are wearing under the coat.

Loving the colour mustard just now – could it be because it blends into the background so well at this time of year? I did wonder as I was going through the photos for this post. Perhaps we should all be turning this lovely coloured trees into dresses – haha!

For a bit of fun I decided to try the same outfit with my new hat and bag bought in Spain at Parfois.
The grey top underneath is cashmere from Intimissimi – I have totally fallen in love with these thin long sleeved and armless tops, (so much so that I have been buying them as presents as well). I wear one of each together as worn alone they are a little see-through. Together though they are incredibly soft and warm without adding even more bulk.

The glasses are… wait for it…Mango, simply bought for the photo but just today I bought a lovely similar pair from RayBan and they sit wonderfully on the head.
The colours you are wearing are just beautiful ! Love the grey and mustard together , it’s really unexpected and so great together. The tree in the background is stunning , just proving that nature knows fashion better than anyone 💛😉
