How to Style a Neon Green Skirt

Hi Everyone,

Neon Green was one of the most surprising colours that popped up throughout recent fashion weeks in Milan and Paris. Neons also formed the basis for several of the fashion shows (see here and here).

Proof that the trend is only just in it’s infancy. Now is the time to invest in a statement neon piece and get the most out of wearing it for a few seasons yet to come.

Personally I was ever so excited to discover this neon green skirt just waiting for me at paradis des innocents. If you are ever in Zurich this is one store you really do need to check out.  Swiss designer and owner, Stefania has a great collection of both contemporary pieces and those special trend items like this green skirt.

How to Style a Neon Green Skirt

Every day style

The thing about neons is that they will steal the show no matter what you team them with. To get the most out of any piece of neon you should simply let it be centre of attention and work sublime around it.

Either team with white or a dark colour. In this case the skirt seems to have touches of lilac peeping through so I felt this oversize purple sweater was the perfect match.

To really let these two pieces do their magic together I decided to team them with cream coloured matching bag and sling back heels. Both from G31 – check out online store here.

I really love the bag as it is so versatile as either a clutch or shoulder bag.

You can really imagine this bag and matching sling backs completing almost any outfit can’t you…

Evening or special occasion

Black and evening always work. Even better though is black and neon green. The trick is to really match every detail of your outfit and at the same time make it look like it was an accident.

Earings , clutch and bracelet are no accident but we all have black accessories don’t we (smile).

Match your black with a neon green skirt. The easiest way ever to create a stunning dressed up look that you will be remembered for!

I already have a special event in mind where i’ll be wearing exactly this look!

  1. I love the evening outfit a lot. I also often tend to play with something colourful and add a lot of black to create a stunning (evening) outfit. Never ever have thought about neon green though. You look stunning in it! Sunny weekend. Love, Lieske
