Hi Everyone,
There’s something about a pretty wraparound skirt that’ll make you feel special each time you wear it.
Wraparound skirts also have the added advantage of being worn in so many different ways. It’s up to you to decide whether to wear it up high at the waist or lower or across the hips. You can even wear exactly the same skirt at different levels depending on the top you are wearing.
Some wraparound skirts ave no holes /slots set into the waistband and these can look messy when tied up. My advice is to choose a wraparound skirt with slots already set into the waistband and otherwise insert one yourself. Or get your local tailor to do so.
The simple steps today show you how to put on a wraparound skirt so that it fits perfectly to your body shape and size.
Today’s skirt is made out of the softest Kamdani handwoven cotton. Beautifully lined so you can wear it both sides. It is available from Bombay_Birds – simply DM on Instagram to purchase. There are also other colours and fabric designs available.

Step 1: Find the side of the skirt waistband which has the built in holes/slots.
Step 2: Thread the tie from that side through the correct hole for you. Working from inside the skirt to out. As a rule of thumb the hole furthest away from the edge of the skirt will give you the smallest size skirt.
Step 3: Step into the loop you just made with the skirt tie and then slide the whole skirt up to where you want to wear it – waist or hips.
Step 4: Tighten the skirt around you using the tie you have been working with so far.
Step 5: Now bring the other side of the skirt around – wrapping carefully not to leave any gaping holes around your body.
Step 6: Tie the two ties together and arrange in a pretty bow.
Step 7: Have fun and feel great in your perfectly fitting wraparound skirt!
