How to Pack for A Ski Vacation!

Hi Everyone,

Just about to go off for our annual ski vacation so what better time than now to remind self of my own packing tips – smile!

Don’t you find it funny how unpacking can always be done in record time. Why is it that it’s easier to unpack for skiing than any other vacation? The answer is simple. It’s worth reading this  ultimate ski weekend packing guide to help you too, take the stress out of packing.

How to Pack for A Ski Vacation!

Step One: Ski Gear

Being a ski weekend, most of the time will be spent skiing so focus on what you like to wear on the ski slopes.

Top tip – We have a special ski suitcase which contains all the underwear and bits we like to wear on the slopes. So easy to simply go there and collect the same pieces each ski vacation. Ski suit too is left on a hanger in a special Winter wardrobe.

I store helmet, cap for under helmet on cold days, goggles and gloves together in the helmet bag – this way they can never be forgotten!

Step Two: The rest

Focus on ski gear and keep the rest to a minimum.

The outfit you wear whilst travelling to the ski slopes can double up as the one you wear after skiing. Your ski jacket can double up as winter coat and worn travelling to and from vacation.

For those of you that like an item by item check list, here is mine:

• Travel outfit – black or white jeans, t-shirt, sweater, snow boots
• Wellness – swimsuit
• Dinner – a dress that folds away to next to nothing, blazer, heels
• Basics – underwear, toiletries and makeup
• Extras –  additional t-shirt, ballerinas, extra pair of jeans, thin cardigan

One night you can wear a dress and the next your jeans and blazer.

Yes, it’s as easy as that, no more needed. You’ll thank yourself at the end of your vacation that you didn’t overpack. I always feel dressed right with this packing list.
