How to Cultivate a Timeless Princess Wardrobe

Hi Everyone,

Before you even dare to think You are not a Princess, let me tell you, You are one!

Of course none of us are Princesses every day. However wherever you are, you too will have those days or occasions, which you should or maybe even like to, dress up for. It is for these occasions that we all need a Princess wardrobe at hand. This is not a wardrobe with 100’s of different pieces. However it is a wardrobe containing carefully collected pieces over time that always make you feel special and do not date.

For the purposes of this article the definition of a “Princes Wardrobe” is a wardrobe made up of those pieces which you really do only wear for special occasions.

The dress I am wearing today is available at one of my favourite shops – CW-Design. This is a shop based in Zollikon. Next trip to Zurich I can really recommend visiting CW-Design.

How to Cultivate a Timeless Princess Wardrobe

There are 5 easy steps to cultivating a timeless Princess wardrobe:

  1. Quality

Stick to good quality pieces. Personally this is when I find Sale time useful as this is when you can buy something really special that would normally be outside of your clothing budget.

2. Test of Time

Keep your pieces over time – these are pieces which you purposefully do not wear every year as this way they give the appearance of being something new each time you do take them out of your wardrobe.

This means of course that you have to be super careful when choosing your Princess wardrobe pieces to be certain they are pieces that you will continue to love over time.

Note: if something no longer fits right then the test of time rule no longer applies. Ill fitting clothing should never be kept – even if you intend to loose weight to fit back into it!

3) Unique

Each piece of your Princess wardrobe should be unique from any other piece. Be wary of collecting pieces in a similar style or colour – even if you think they suit you exceptionally well.

4) Vary

A real Princess wardrobe doesn’t have to be only dresses. It can also be contained of special skirt or pant suits. In fact that can be even more fun as you can chooses to mix and match these pieces over time to create totally now outfits.

5) Cultivate over time

A Princess wardrobe must never be bought all at once. This is something that has to be built up slowly over time. Preferably one new piece each year or two years at the most.

After all these are the pieces you save for super special occasions.

Wishing You lots of fun cultivating your own timeless Princess wardrobe!
