Gothic strikes again – Shiatzy Chen PFW Fall 2016

One of the best ways to cultivate a sustainable wardrobe is by being aware of what’s to come before you buy…which leads me to revisit Fall 2016 Paris Fashion Week.

Gothic strikes again – Shiatzy Chen PFW Fall 2016

The developments of Shiatzy Chen, one of my personal favourite brands has been super interesting to watch. Launched in Taipei in 1978, Shiatzy Chen created a “New Look of China”.  The Spring 2016 collection was dominated by Chinese heritage and now Fall 2016 we see a European influence creep in more and more with the gothic theme prevailing throughout.DSC_0205

High collars, cinched in waists giving a super feminine feel to the collection and taking us all back to the gothic fashion scene.

Note skirts are fuller, and over the knee. Very feminine, making a statement all of their own.

Version 2

Flouncy white shirts and leather trousers are not new – but definitely here to stay – coming fall is all about femininity and showing shape.

DSC_0114 Whoever said pink and red shouldn’t be worn together has definitely got it wrong – this is one of the hot colour combinations coming forward!

DSC_0978Loving the combination of gothic collar with over the knee boots softened up with long  pink coat.

DSC_0067 (1)Pretty in Pink – John Galliano also combined pretty dresses with these lace-up mid calf boots.

Version 2 Yellow is seeing a new come back – love how a touch of China and gothic fashion all comes together in one dress!

Version 2 This coat is making a statement showing the true origin of Shiatzy Chen.

DSC_0037 (1) Love the fur trimming!

DSC_0197 Closing this post with the ecru layered frill, calf length dress!

Wishing you all a fab day and stay tuned for more!
